Javier Hinojo has been married for 24 years, has five kids, and has been self-employed for most of his life. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He is the host of “The Naked Truth about Real Estate investing” podcast.
Javier went to a Rich Dad Poor Dad seminar in November of 2015, paid his 35k and got some training. He then started off by doing fix and flips of single-family homes.
Javier worked out of the cites Raleigh and Durham in North Carolina, Austin, Dollars and El Paso in Texas, as well as Tampa, Florida, where would fix and flip more than 50 houses per year in addition to wholesaling upwards of 80.
In late 2019, Javier decided to stop cold turkey and go to commercial real estate. He let almost all of his staff go and started from scratch. He started to liquidate all of his single family homes.
He was inducted in the Rich Dad Poor Dad Hall of Fame in 2018 for podcasts/mentors/coaching.
Javier is a high school push out and doesn’t have a college education. Had 32 cents in his account on New Year’s day 2017 and almost gave up. He asked his kids for their Christmas money so he could pay his rent. By the end of 2019 he closed on his first apartment of 63 units outside Charleston.
Fast forward about 19 months later and he is at 690 units across 7 properties. Stabilized Value 50M.
