Leif Meyerson, known as “The Sales Floor Guy,” has been in the industry for more than 20 years and has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. He ran his first sales floor at the age of 19 and was very successful in spite of some different challenges like his age.
He was 19 and his youngest employee was almost twice his age, but he was still able to grow that to a 30-person sales floor that was turning an eight-figure profit annually. After four years in the industry he decided to hang up his sales hat
due to these companies having a lack of integrity as well as the the owners not taking him seriously due to his age.
Leif then became an apprentice for a high level GC while simultaneously finishing his degree in construction management. Within 18 months, he became a lead project manager for one of the biggest development companies in Arizona and was
in charge of several multi-million dollar projects at a time. His responsibilities were simple: finish a high quality project on time and under budget. He successfully completed 376 doors in the downtown Phoenix market, but then something unexpected happened: the great RE crash of 2008. He was the last PM standing with the company, but they were finally forced to close their doors.
He picked himself up and received an offer from an associate that knew his sales background and wanted him to check out his six sales floor operations with well over 100 reps. They had at any one point five infomercials running on TV with names like Jeff Paul, John Beck, Sean Higgins and they were clearing in the mid-nine figures annually at their height. Despite Leif’s hesitancy in the sales industry, he decided to jump in given their shared core values. Within 18 months, he was running the California office of 160 sales reps strong and was doing it the right way with integrity.
He decided to put his skills to the test by partnering with a smaller company in order to grow it into something spectacular. Although he doubled revenue and KPIs were great, he learned that certain partnerships aren’t always the greatest path and they decided to split ways due to spending differences, but still remain friends. Leif prides himself on this as he learned through experience that “when you live within your integrity and do your best, to do your best, you tend to leave a trail of great relationships instead of scorched earth.”
Leif found his next opportunity from a company in Arizona called Clever Investor. Within a year he was the Director of Sales and the Director of Business Development and during his six-year tenure in those roles they grew from a five-man shop to employing more than 35 sales reps, doubling their efficiency in conversion rates and DPL. It was a great company, but he parted ways in 2019 to pursue what he was most passionate and skilled at: creating.
Leif has a unique ability to create highly functioning, extremely successful sales floors and better yet, he loves doing it! He started taking on clients that need someone to come in and show them the path to create the systems, structure, culture, and sales processes that they’ve been missing.
