When everything came crashing down, Liz Puga learned a valuable lesson.
Liz set down her bags and sat on her bed. Beyond the doorway, she could hear her girls playing with their grandparents. She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath before standing back up and getting to work.
When Liz became a single mom in 2004, it took her completely by surprise. Never in a million years would she have expected that it could happen to her and yet there she was with her two young daughters, trying to figure out how to do everything as a single mom.
It was not long before Liz realized many more things were about to change, more than she had anticipated. With all the expenses, including private school, dance lessons and more, Liz could not afford to keep my house and within a couple years decided to move back in with her parents. Leaving her beautiful home that she had built was devastating. She had picked out every detail and watched it go up from the foundation to the roof. Walking out the door and handing the keys to somebody else was one of the hardest things she had to ever do. However, Liz did whatever was necessary to support her family and continue the life they knew.
Fortunately, her parents have always been very supportive, and after they built an addition onto their house, the girls and Liz moved in. She was now a legal administrator with a full schedule and had gotten her real estate license too. Between getting the girls to school and staying on top of homework, extra curricular activities, dinner and everything in between, there were some pretty long days.
No matter what Liz had at work though, she always made time for her daughters. Being actively involved in their lives whenever possible was important to her and she seized every chance she had to do so. Liz was a Brownie troop leader and planned many events including campouts and many troupe activities. She volunteered at many of the private school fundraisers and events and participated in years of dance recitals and lessons. They were also in softball, where Liz and her daughters spent many evenings and weekends at practice and games. Liz’s girls are her whole life, they have been ever since they were born, and she would not have it any other way.
Liz has been a licensed realtor since 1998. When not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her daughters and Yorkie, Harley. Liz’s favorite part of being a realtor is meeting new people and figuring out all the ways she can help them reach their dreams.
Whatever end of a real estate transaction you are on, there is something you are trying to achieve. Liz always takes the time to get to know her clients and listen to what they are trying to accomplish through this experience. She charts a path with her clients to get them from where they are to where they want to be. Due to her legal background, she has a deep understanding of contracts and negotiations, which means she knows how to thoroughly protect interests.
