Travis Baucom bought his first rental house in August of 2012. After a few successful years in house flipping, Travis
bought the rights to the central Texas market for the franchise Homevestors. With the Homevestor organization, he bought more than 300 houses in three years.
In 2017 he ranked 8th largest franchise out of over 900 franchises as it pertains to sales units and sales volume. He sold the franchise at the beginning of 2018. Post sale, he created his own brand, Texas Trust Home Buyers, in 2018. Travis bought 100 houses with that brand. After being gifted a book called “Margin of Safety” he moved on to larger, harder-to-acquire cash flowing assets.
He is now the largest owner of short term rentals in the downtown corridor of Waco, the largest land owner in the famous Silo District of Waco, he owns 6 storage facilities, and owns the real estate behind a private school he and his wife started in 2018. Travis is an avid proponent of unschooling and schooling for the 21st century. He and his wife of more than 15 years have four wonderful kids.
